As the Boeing 777x prepares to take flight for the first time, it’s important to remember the aircraft cleaning essentials for new models.
Here at Speciality Wipes, we offer the finest aircraft wipes on the market, which can serve both the exterior and interior of your plane.
Why Boeing Have Added to their Fleet
The GE9X aircraft was equipped with GE Aviation’s largest ever engine, and while it was attached to a Boeing 747 in March 2018; it is now being used as the engine for the 777X.
The 777X family has two variants, the 777-8 and 777-9 with an aluminium fuselage and carbon composite wings with the capability to carry up to 375 passengers with a range of 8,700 nautical miles (16,110km).
Both aircraft have a wingspan of 72m but because of the limitations presented by airport layouts, the last 7 metres folds up with the far ends of the wings hinged.
New manufacturing technologies have been implemented on both the engine and aircraft with robots replacing manual work on the wing and fuselage to the processes for the ceramic matrix composites at the core of the GE9X.
Boeing 777 and 777X operations vice-president, Jason Clark, commented,
“We have strategically targeted automation for highly repetitive processes and tasks to increase safety and quality.”
Meet Operational Standards with Composite Wipes
Because of the complexity of aircraft construction and maintenance (for models such as the Boeing 777X) our aerospace composite wipes have been adapted to remove various greases and oils from metal and composite materials.
The base material is extremely tough and abrasion resistant plus they are available in both approved AMS3819 and BMF15-5F and non-approved base material. To increase efficiency our wipes are supplied in either bucket, tubs or pouches for easy dispensing.
